Gasline is a short film about the ‘70s, the oil crisis, and a gas station owner trying to survive. Set in the suburbs of New York during the second gas crisis in 1979, the film follows Ben Crosby over a day at the station, as he tries desperately to keep his fragile and weakening life together.
Facing long lines of desperate customers, a failed marriage, and a wayward son, he struggles to find a path through it, to live one more day. The film was the Winner of the Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, and was awarded a First Place grant from The National Board of Review.
